Work

Any of you who know me have probably heard of the summer enjoyment that I have. I get to work for my dad out at his business. By "get to work" for him, I mean I get guilt tripped into working for him every summer. I'm living an hour away from home and somehow he has managed to talk me into coming there everyday this week. The absolute best part of the whole deal is that I smell like tires when I leave (did I mention that it was a tire store?). That's right, the smell of dark black, stinky rubber permeates throughout...my clothes, my hair, my skin: all rubber scented. It's total chaos out there. He sells and works on John Deere lawn mowers and these people who come out there act like their lawn mower makes for a life or death situation. I mean worst case scenario: their grass grows out too far. No one dies because it's not linked to their physical being and they can still go to work or wherever they need to because in spite of the way they act....it's not their car!!! So there it is I work at a tire store and John Deere place...it stinks, it's dirty, and it's possibly the most feminine job in the world. On the upside, it is a great motivator to go back to school!

I moved to Nashville to start (another) grad school. It's scary, but it's also cool because my best friend and I are finally in grad school together...delayed, but it happened.
